Ingredients:-
1. Moong dal (whole) - 100 gms
2. Channa dal - 50 gms
3. 2 tomatoes – well chopped
4. 2 onions - well chopped
5. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
6. Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
7. Chopped ginger - 1 tbsp
8. Red chili powder - 1 tbsp
9. Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp

Method:-
a) Wash dal well.
b) Put them in a pressure cooker, add salt, turmeric powder, chopped ginger and garlic and boil for 5 minutes in medium flame till it is cooked.
c) Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, let it crackle.
d) Add chopped onions and cook till it turns golden brown.
e) Add ginger, garlic, finely chopped tomatoes and then add red chilli powder.
f) Then add cooked dal to the mixture.
g) Then add gram masala and salt to taste. Cook for 2-3 minutes more.
h) Add 1 tbsp butter and cook for a minute.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with Roti, Naan and Rice.
